Vista ad on kde-look

Didn’t somebody write how to tame Google ads? If so, could you contact the webmaster for these sites and teach them. Nothing like going to a free software site and seeing an ad for Vista.

    Heh, I don’t see those adds, using konqueror with the built-in ad blocker. I remember another linux site having anti-linux ads supporting ms windows. I think it was linux.com.

    Google’s AdSense has an anti-competitor feature where you can list URLs that shouldn’t be advertized on your site. It’s quite simple.

    Look at it this way: MS just paid for the expenses of those sites, with minimal probability of anyone caring about the ad (Users of gnome-look and kde-look having to shop for Vista? How likely is that?).

    Doesn’t sound so bad, does it?

    I’m with Adriano on this one. Microsoft is helping pay for that site to run. All of nixternal’s refreshes sucked a wee bit of money out of Redmond and pushed it into the Free’o'sphere.

    Just leave the ads on the site.

    Most Linuxers know that every click on these ads

    - gives money to the website owner which in turn helps Linux
    - costs Microsoft even more money as they pay for every click

    By the way:

    I click on every Microsoft ad I see. I just make sure that I empty the browser cache and delete the cookies when ever I start the browser in order to make sure that they really have to pay.

    I enjoy every click :-)
