Anyone in the USA with a spare video card that will work in an Apple G4, please email me if you would like to sell or give it away. I am willing to pay of course, however I don’t want to pay a lot, as I only really need it to load Ubuntu onto it and run it as a server. Thanks in advance.
I just received an email from flickr stating someone added me as a contact. I forgot all about flickr so I decided to see what was going on. Well I clicked on the user, who added me, profile’s page. I seen this link, http://www.ubuntutribe.com. So I went and visited, and this is what I saw.
Whoever you are, simply brilliant!
Well, I gave my little talk today for the Ubuntu Open Week on the Ubuntu Documentation Project. The talk actually went quite quick, just under 30 minutes. However, even though I had a 1 hour time slot, it was still filled with some really great questions from Monika, Samgee, and Ryanaka. To see my little talk that I wrote up as well as the questions asked, take a look at the wiki page. The log file will not be much different than that, except for a couple of Addons I did. I am sure those will be posted shortly and accessable via the Open Week wiki page. Thanks to everyone who participated! Tomorrow I will be giving another talk on Creating a LoCo Team for those who are interested. Check out Open Week page for more information.
My name is Richard A. Johnson. I am a professional developer, as well as an open source enthusiast, advocate, and author. I spend any free time I can get cycling.
Back in 1994 I was introduced to the world of open source software by installing Linux on a PC I had purchased from the Navy Exchange. At that time I had no idea what I was going up against, but never once did I let myself get frustrated, as Windows had already done that to me. Since then, I have completely immersed myself into the open source world and have been an active contributor.
